Gathering, exhibition design
Exhibition design for furniture design students from HDK/Steneby, exhibited at Stockholm furniture fair 2017. Project developed during the fall of 2016. Designers: Petra Lilja, Kristin Löberg, Sara Sigurdardottir.
The exhibition design concept comes from the idea of Gathering around
the table and the requirement to use the material Forbo Desktop.
The center piece in the space is the round table, sliced in two semi-circles, with storage space inside. With display surfaces in two heights, the table invites audience from every direction, to gather and move around the table in an easy manner. A small text display next to the designed student objects will indicate the most important information and graphically connect to the printed cards displayed on a specifically developed board on the back wall.
The other design objects not fitted for the table will be placed in the two corners. Text and logos by vinyl plotter are mounted on boards, centered on the back wall as well as on the right hand side wall.
